One More Mile
One More Mile

Out of San Francisco's diverse blues scene comes One More Mile. By mixing Chicago's West Side, 50's swing, and a hint of surf, One More Mile has developed a unique sound and stage presence, capable of filling the dance floor and entertaining blues fans every show. While the Bay Area music press has bestowed such comments as "truly distinguished themselves in the [blues] genre" and "pure, unadulterated blues", One More Mile is just happy to carry on the tradition that they love.

One More Mile is:

Jersey Jim
Lead vocals and Bass

Craig Kloor
Guitar

On the strength of a three song demo, One More Mile, made up of the tag team duo of guitarist Craig Kloor and vocalist and bassman "Jersey" Jim Nestor, hit the Bay Area blues scene running. The One More Mile live show and sound is complete with the addition of some of the best drummers the Bay Area has to offer. With appearances at most of the larger blues clubs down to every hole-in-the-wall gin joint, One More Mile established a loyal and devoted following. A high-energy stage show mixed with great band chemistry has left crowds calling for more. All of this groundwork has led to high profile gigs with such artists as Grammy award winner Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Grammy nominated singer Maria Muldaur, Grammy award winner Tommy Castro, Debbie Davies, as well as other blues luminaries.

All of their hard work comes together in the debut CD from One More Mile called Three Piece and a Biscuit. The CD captures the band's sound and energy that fans have been calling for. From the opening notes of "San-Ho-Zay" through the closing chords of "38th St. Blues", Three Piece and a Biscuit resonates with all blues fans. The casual blues listener will appreciate the up-tempo grooves of "I Wonder Why" or "Same Old Blues" and the die hard blues fanatic will drool over the dynamic slow burners like "Sad & Blues" and "Cold, Cold Feeling".

On the heals of Three Piece and a Biscuit, One More Mile is getting back to the work of playing live blues. In the next year, One More Mile have their collective eyes on festivals, touring, and continuing to build their already impressive following.

Featured OMM drummer
Tom "Pep" Peplinski

Tom "Pep" Peplinski is the latest addition to the One More Mile live show. Tom started playing drums at the age of eight and was in his first jazz band at the age of eleven. Studying under two teachers, he won many state and regional drum competitions and learned to play all instruments of percussion, including piano. Tom was the first tenth grader to achieve first-drummer status at the University of Minnesota Duluth Honor Band, and played in the local symphony. Since 1967, he has played steadily in rock and country weekend bands.

Tom graduated from the Minnesota School of Business and has always maintained a business career while enjoying drumming and performing as a hobby. A recent escapee from the cold winters of Minnesota, he can be found playing in the local pubs of San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area.
