One More Mile

Out of San Francisco's diverse blues scene comes One More Mile.  By mixing Chicago's West Side, 50's swing, and a hint of surf, One More Mile has developed a unique sound and stage presence, capable of filling the dance floor and entertaining blues fans every show.  While the Bay Area music press has bestowed such comments as "…truly distinguished themselves in the [blues] genre…" and "pure, unadulterated blues", One More Mile is just happy to carry on the tradition that they love.

On the strength of a three song demo, One More Mile hit the Bay Area blues scene running. With appearances at most of the larger blues clubs down to every hole-in-the-wall gin joint, One More Mile established a loyal and devoted following. A high-energy stage show mixed with great band chemistry has left crowds calling for more. All of this groundwork has led to high profile gigs with such artists as Grammy nominated singer Maria Muldaur, Grammy award winner Tommy Castro, as well as other blues luminaries.

All of their hard work comes together in the debut CD from One More Mile called "Three Piece and a Biscuit". The CD captures the band's sound and energy that fans have been calling for. From the opening notes of "San-Ho-Zay" through the closing chords of "38th St. Blues", Three Piece and a Biscuit resonates with all blues fans. The casual blues listener will appreciate the up-tempo grooves of "I Wonder Why" or "Same Old Blues" and the die hard blues fanatic will drool over the dynamic slow burners like "Sad & Blues" and "Cold, Cold Feeling".

On the heals of "Three Piece and a Biscuit", One More Mile is getting back to the work of playing live blues. In the next year, One More Mile have their collective eyes on festivals, touring, and continuing to build their already impressive following.
